Aged in American Oak (ex-bourbon) and distilled using peated grain sourced from Inverness ? Scotland. This peated single malt expression has a distinctive style all of its own. Peaty characters play on the palate more gingerly than its Scottish peated counterparts. With more restraint, this expression represents the best of new world peated whisky interpretations. True Scotch lovers will be in awe of this delightfully surprising Tasmanian crafted drop

The marrying of flavour attributes of our special triple distilled single malt (American oak, ex-Bourbon cask matured) with our Port cask matured single malt (French oak) provide a unique twist to Tasmanian whisky styles. Highlighting distinctive signature citrus nuances, akin to the most unique distilleries of Scotland and the lighter fruit sweet notes of European Port casks, it is fair to say that no Australian distillery has a comparative whisky expression. Incredibly smooth yet brooding with deft flavours, this expression has become one of the distillery's most popular palate pleaser.

When you look at the almost transparent color of this Ledaig, you know straight away that the cask will have no influence on its aromatic and taste palette. Both earthy and marine, it is also rustic and at the same time very elegant and easy to access that does not exclude complexity. It expresses in a way that could not be more natural all the paradoxes that make the reputation of this single malt from the Isle of Mull.

Not strictly a Japanese whisky, Togouchi sources grain whiskies from Scotland and Canada and ages them in Japan.
This is a blend from Chugoku Jozo, who mature their whiskies in a tunnel rather than a warehouse. The temperature of the tunnel is always 15 degrees while the temperature of the cellar at the headquarters in Hatsukaichi city is a little higher than that. Nutty, spicy whisky with a lovely butterscotch mouth feel. On the palate it expresses vanilla sweetness and a fine peat iodine, with hazelnuts and chocolate on the finish. Almost feels like a whisky/bourbon hybrid.

This is the second batch of Auchentoshan's Virgin Oak. Aged in new North American oak casks, this triple-distilled Lowland whisky is rich, spicy and complex.
This new offering from Auchentoshan is one of their best of recent times. It mixes a lovely series of delicate, floral and fruity notes with a powerful kick of woody, oaky spice from the virgin oak casks, and does it very well

This exquisite single malt has been crafted from a combination of unpeated and peated spirit and four cask matured for at least twenty one years in bourbon barrels, sherry casks, virgin oak casks and Bordeaux red wine casks. During long maturation Benriach?s sweet Speyside smoke mellows and integrates with the fruit, malt and oak. After twenty one years, rich layering develops into an elegant honey smoke, enriched through multi-layered cask maturation. The whisky from each cask type, imbued with particular flavour characteristics, is then expertly married together to create a rich and elegant single malt, layered with lush orchard fruit and toasted pine wood with a honey smoke finish. All in perfect balance.
