Whitehaven Wines began life in 1994 as a romantic business for a couple of corporate escapees, Sue and Greg White, who had given up life in the rat race of Auckland for another kind of life aboard their yacht. When sailing around the country, they took shelter in the Marlborough Sounds from Pacific storms and fell in love with the region. An easy thing to do when harbouring in the spectacularly pristine waters of the Sounds. They decided to settle there on terra firma once more and try their hands at wine production, hiring a winemaker and beginning a business which has now been around for 26 years. Greg has sadly passed away now, leaving a legacy as well as his wife and daughter, Sam, to run the winery. Their winemaker is Peter Jackson.

Bright, straw-yellow colour with an aromatic, intense nose with rose and honeyed notes. This is a dry Gewurztraminer with a crisp and zesty palate with great, lively acidity and notes of rose petal and steely minerality.

One of New Zealand's best Gewurztraminers - rich full bodied, medium sweet style nicely balanced by refreshing high acidity due to the cool climate of the South Island. 

Its aromas are of ripe mandarin, rose and Turkish Delight with notes of fresh ginger that complement the richness of this great white from Mat Donaldson and his talented winemaking team at Pegasus Bay Winery in the Waipara Valley, North Canterbury. 

Off-dry in style. The nose shows notes of lychee, lemon zest, crushed lime leaf and rosewater. The palate is luscious and mouth-filling with a rich concentration, delicately balanced and exuding flavours of Turkish delight, lemon and spice. 

The Seifried Nelson Gew?rztraminer is fragrant with enticing exotic aromas on the nose. The palate is packed with flavours of lychee, toffee apple and ginger. The wine is luscious and concentrated leaving lasting flavours.

This wine is made exclusively with hand harvested fruit from the Blackenbrook Home block where the vines grow on Moutere clay soil covered by a layer of sandy loam. The wine making is extremely gentle with whole bunch pressing, cool fermentation, minimal pumping over and using gravity to move the wine when required.

12% of the wine is aged in oak to add mouthfeel and complexity and there is no fining pre-bottling.

 At 5g/l of residual sugar this is dry in style.

Intensely varietal, our Gewurztraminer 2018 is marked by a delightful scent of rose petals, Turkish delight and spice followed by a lingering off-dry finish.
Ideal serving temperature: 15 degrees

A consistently attractive wine. Pale and ripely perfumed, it is
mouthfilling and vividly varietal, with fresh pear, lychee and
spice flavours, showing very good delicacy and depth, and a

This Gewurztraminer shows notes of mango, ginger, nutmeg and rose petal on the nose. The palate is powerful, with fruit flavours supporting a smooth flowing structure that lingers in the mouth.

Dead Flowers is a field blend of Pinot Noir and Gewürztraminer from a single vineyard in Waipara. It is a white and red co-ferment - partly on skins and partly direct pressed. It is then aged in a mixture of oak, tank and amphora.

Crunchy and fresh with mad florals and spicy Pinot textures. Light red in colour and chillable.
