Unit price perGlenAllachie's newest addition to their core range is the 8 year old - matured in a combination of primarily ex-sherry wood, with a smattering of virgin oak and ex-wine barriques. Created by Master Blender Billy Walker, this has aromas of of heather honey, butterscotch and cinnamon, followed by waves of ginger, toasted almonds and mocha. To taste, lashings of treacle, dried sultanas and butterscotch, with cinnamon, peppermint and honeycomb.

Unit price perIn the early 1970s, Benriach broke convention in Speyside by returning to distilling batches of whisky in the old, 19th century style, using malted barley smoked with Highland peat. This wood rich Highland peat imparts distinctly sweet and smoky notes into Benriach peated whiskies. Benriach The Smoky Ten has been crafted from a combination of unpeated and peated spirit and three cask matured for at least ten years in a combination of bourbon barrels, Jamaican rum casks and toasted virgin oak. The whisky is then expertly married together to create sublimely smooth layers of sunripe fruit, aromatic smoke and toasted oak spice, lingering into the perfectly balanced sweet and smoky finish.
Nose: Toasted coconut, aromatic smoke and a touch of greengage.

NOSE
Fresh vanilla, toffee, butterscotch and spices.
TASTE
Raisins, marzipan, heather and honey, with rich notes of dark cherries, spices and subtle hints of dark chocolate.
This rich bronze malt attains its spicy, treacly flavours from hogsheads made of Spanish Oak (Quercus Robur) sourced from Galicia and Asturias regions, more specifically, the Cantabrian Mountains which have a cooler climate and greater humidity. Before being filled, the wood is air-dried for around 18 months, opening up the oak for the GlenAllachie spirit to extract the cask character.
This single-malt scotch whisky comes courtesy of the Tamnavulin distillery in Speyside. It?s one of a series of expressions matured in red wine casks. This particular whisky has been finished in a cask that once held German pinot noir.
