RUM

Planas is an extraordinary blend of pot still, column and batch kettle rums. Aged for up to 6 years, it is elegant, rich and surprisingly intense for a white rum. The complex charcoal filtration process carried out prior to bottling gives this rum its crystal clear appearance and smooth finish.

Plana is best enjoyed neat, on the rocks. It can also be an excellent main ingredient for delicate cocktails like Hemingway Daiquiri

An excellent blend of rums aged for up to 8 years in white oak casks that previously held scotch whisky and bourbon. Dried fruit and spice on the nose leads to a plate of further dried fruits and vanilla.

Cane Overproof rum is 1919's first release, full-strength and full of character. It is a blend of different fermentations and marks resulting in a white rum with a fruity aroma with hints of molasses. This full strength rum provides depth and a punch in cocktails or can be enjoyed neat for the rum enthusiast.

This blend of botanical spice and citrus is unique in both aroma and taste. To the nose notes of nutmeg, cinnamon, and ginger are released, with a powerful undertone of orange peel. The palate is warm, soothing and highly aromatic and the finish is both fresh and herbal.

Plantation 3 Stars is a crisp, tasty white rum made by blending spirit produced in Jamaica, Trinidad and Barbados. Some of the rums in the blend are aged, though their colour is removed via a process of carbon filtration.

Nose: Hints of dried coconut and guava. A little honey too, and soft spice.

Palate: Spiced palate entry. Creamy vanilla custard, fresh sugar cane honey and even a hint of agave.

Finish: Floral finish. Zinging spices.

Bumbu XO is truly a thing of beauty. A smooth, rich and complex handcrafted rum created from scratch by Bumbu's master distiller. Bumbu XO is aged up to 18 years in bourbon barrels and finished in Spanish white oak sherry casks to achieve a beautifully balanced, endlessly sippable rum. This special release is distilled and aged in Panama, where we created a truly unique ? and unquestionably superior ? rum. Aromas of toffee, toasted oak, and vanilla give way to orange zest, peppery spice and even a hint of coffee on the palate. A wonderfully engaging rum that encourages repeat visits, Bumbu XO is perfect for traditional rum cocktails ? and perhaps even better on its own, neat or with a single ice cube.

A fantastic treat from the Plantation range originally created by the company's cellar master Alexandre Gabriel and drinks historian David Wondrich for Tales of the Cocktail in New Orleans in 2015. To make it, they infuse the rinds of Queen Victoria pineapples in their white rum for a week then distil it, and infuse the fruit of the pineapples in dark rum for three months. These are married together and left to age in casks for three months. Pineapple deliciousness galore!

Also, if you're wondering about the name, it comes from the character Reverend Stiggins in Pickwick Papers, whose favourite drink was 'pineapple rum'.

Nose: Honeydew melon, cola cubes and a hint of Jamaican ginger cake. Pineapple notes are authentic, but not overblown.

Palate: Spiced molasses tart and crumbly shortbread. Pineapple lends juicy and slightly earthy elements. Cassia spiciness develops.

Finish: Vanilla, lemon, mango and spearmint.
