We've gone a bit mad on IPA in New Zealand; we love those big bold fresh flavours, higher ABVs and heavy-handed hop additions. Our recipe is classic West Coast IPA style, starting with American Ale malt which we ferment with American yeast. Then we add a delicious blend of NZ and US hops including Jade, Waimea, Amarillo and Centennial. This is our flagship IPA brewed to be enjoyed every day.

Antsy Adam is a hop-forward APA, with layers of citrus over a light ale malt base. Orange, grapefruit and tangelo notes will give your buds a high five on the way down.

Precious Pete is the gap year you always wanted - a Euro style pils ready to pop. He goes down like a sweet biscuit with malt characters, balanced by a clean dry bitterness.

Humble Harry is your easy going, tropical hazy. Not too full of himself, he?s forever approachable. A mix of stonefruits and melons with a goodbye kiss of citrus to finish things off.

We've upped the ante, using Alora and experimental hop #16660, both being used for the first time in a NZ beer. A tropical fruit salad of flavours along with berry and yuzu give fantastic complexity. Malt sweetness heightens the layers in this drop.

Tasting Note: High Voltage is a hazy IPA that?s all about harnessing the energy of two powerhouse hops: Citra and Mosaic. This brew pours with a dense, golden haze that hints at the flavour overload waiting inside. From the first sip, you?re hit with a surge of tropical goodness?think juicy mango, ripe pineapple, and a burst of citrus that dances on your tongue. The Mosaic hops add a layer of complexity with subtle berry undertones, while Citra delivers a bright, refreshing citrus punch.

This dreamy double IPA will carry you off on floating tropical aromas with sweet notes of citrus and passionfruit balanced out by a light piney bitterness from the Amarillo, Simcoe and Cascade Cryo hops. Loaded with oats and wheat in the malt bill, this beer drinks smooth and creamy allowing the hops space to fly. Vibrant and refreshing!

Swanning Around Hazy DIPA 8.2%

Part two of our dual release with Alvarado Street Brewery is the other end of the drinking spectrum to the first. Pushing the boat out with a freshly harvested special selection of Eggers hops that we decided upon during hop selection. We have fused these with some Nelson sauvin and citra for classic back up rockstar hops and a kiss of our new favourite HBC 586. At over 8% the medium is big rich and pillowy to deliver this triple dry hop load.

Fresh-cut citrus, passionfruit, apricot and pine aromatics from the Simcoe and Cascade hops are the first notes to hit you as you crack open this beer, followed by a sturdy malt body and finely balanced bitterness that is deeply refreshing, like catching some shade under the Redwood trees in the height of California summer. Pouring the colour of liquid gold, this beer is an easy-drinking mellow ride that will have you coming back for more.
