New Zealand Craft Beer

A staple and fan favourite of the Duncan’s line up, this IPA is brewed with juniper berries which deliver hints of pine and citrus aroma and flavour.

7% ABV.

When theatres close their doors they keep an electric light illuminated on the stage, to keep the resident ghosts happy. With lockdown, Ghost Lights have been burning bright on stages around the world. Good for the ghosts, not so for those in the Arts. Brewed with extra light malt, oats and a blend of Citra and Nelson Sauvin hops, creating a brilliant white gold brew, with a distinctly spectral haze. Just what?s needed to raise spirits.

What is a table beer? 

Brewed to be lighter in alcohol, this sparkling farmhouse style ale has been aged in oak and lightly dry hopped with Wai-iti and Pacifica creating a beer that is dry, crisp and ever so slightly tart. It just might be the most refreshing thing you've put in your mouth. 

Great with food or for any time you feel like a thirst quenching beer without the heavy alcohol. Table, table here we come.

This NZ IPA has been hopped at multiple stages through its brewing journey, mellow out all that hoppy goodness with the toastiness of NZ Ale Malt and Cassels? Obsidian-black with a velvety, tan head, our Milk Stout is traditionally brewed with non-fermentable lactose sugar for a luscious, full-bodied mouthfeel. Aromas of bittersweet chocolate, dried fruits, and bold coffee-and-cream flavours all descend on the senses, while soft roasted-malt bitterness keeps the sweetness in check.  Welcome to the dark side of craft beer. North End Brewing - Farmhouse brewers in Wallonia on the Belgian - French border produce incredibly complex and yet refreshing beers that combine spicy yeast cultures and light acidity.  We took these elements of Farmhouse brewing and combined them with locally grown Te Horo Blackberries to create an incredible fruity, tart and refreshing beer.  We think it's the perfect match to ripe Camembert and cured meats.

Blackberry Sour, 5% ABV.

The latest release in our ongoing serious of foraged flower ferments. For this brew, freshly harvested whole bines were plunged into a light golden base wort, creating a spontaneous fermentation using only the yeast present on the hops. The beer was then allowed to age and develop for a year in oak barrels, before being infused with another dose of wet hops flown in straight from the harvest. The result of this brewery outing is a complex yet clean citrus-like sour, bursting with delightful fresh hop aroma. 

6.8% ABV

Once upon a time in rural Shropshire one member of the village would ritually take on the sins of the recently deceased by drinking ale and eating food over the departed’s body. These ‘sin eaters’ would have been drinking mild ale, so in collaboration with our Shropshire born friends at Small Gods we decided to brew a malty, tawny, mild ale with a decent dose of oats.

The Mixed Six contains: Copacabana Brut IPA 7.1%, Diamond Head Hazy IPA 5.6%, Newtown Hazy Pale Ale 4.8%, Brixton Pale Ale 4.4%, Kingsland Pilsner 4.5%, Detroit IPA 5.8%

generously hopped Pilsner takes the Bohemian style of aromatic lager and reforms it with a generous dose of Nelson grown hops. Citrus, spice and tropical fruit float over a sweet malt base before a firm bitter finale. A revelation of Kiwi ingenuity

Pale golden colour with a foamy white head. Light biscuity malt notes carry the hops. A mix of American Citra and NZ Cascade hops give the beer a bright and vibrant citrus burst. Crisp and drinkable. Lower in alcohol than most IPAs.

A Classic lager brewed with New Zealand?s distinctive and underappreciated Green Bullet hop.

Not all days are for going BIG! When in the mood for something light in Alc/Vol, but full of flavour, our EddyLite Pale ale is the ticket! This double dryhopped session pale ale is sure to please!

2.5% ABV.

Pale Ales are known for being aromatic with a balance of a lighter body with some maltiness and mellow bitterness.  Taking the concept from the Hazy IPAs we triple dryhopped our Sippin' on Sunshine to bring out the juiciness while having a lighter body and pleasant crisp finish.  Mosaic and Sultana hops contribute to tropical notes while NZ Southern Cross creates a refreshing lemon flavor!
