TASTES: Full frontal assault to the palate, a juniper & orange zest mixture. Closely followed by sweet lemon, taking over your entire palate. Minimum heat, minimum burn. Frontal palate flavours dominate, with small floral notes on the back palate. Jasmine and lavender, quite delicious. 

FINISH: A warming numbness with continued juniper. Surprisingly long finish, coming back with waves of orange & mixed floral notes. Dry Gin, at its prime.

Metaxa is a Greek distilled spirit invented by Spyros Metaxas in 1888. It is a blend of brandy and wine made from sun-dried Savatiano, Sultana and Black Corinth grape varieties. Malfy Gin CON ARANCIA is distilled by the Vergnano family in Italy - the birthplace of Gin - using the peel of Sicilian Blood Oranges, Italian Juniper and four other botanicals with their traditional Vacuum Still.  Blood Oranges are prized variety in Sicily - and harvested in November - their rich red colour develops from the cool Mediterranean nights.

Disaronno Originale unbeknownst to most is not actually amaretto which is why it has been removed from it’s label. It is amaretto flavored, with a characteristic bittersweet almond taste. Disaronno claims its “originale” amaretto’s “secret formula” is unchanged from the year 1525, and claims the Luini tale as its own particular history. Its production remains in Saronno, but the product is sold worldwide. The company describes its amaretto as an infusion of “apricot kernel oil” with “absolute alcohol, burnt sugar, and the pure essence of seventeen selected herbs and fruits”; the product does not contain any almonds or other nuts.

Briottet's Peppermint Liqueur is produced by distilling mint leaves, mainly peppermint leaves, and then by adding some fine sugar. This is a pure, well-balanced and very refreshing liqueur.
