Single Malt

From Dufftown on the banks of the River Fiddich, The Singleton of Glendullan is, much like House Tully, a product of the Riverlands ? just with a lower-case 'r'. A sweet and fruity dram, this single malt is heaving with vanilla, chocolate and cereal notes, all lifted by a lively spice.

Prepare to snatch the cloak from our latest  limited edition and reveal to the world the  palate-provoking, taste-tantalising, whisky wonder that is Ardbeg Spectacular.  A first for Ardbeg, this whisky has been  matured in highly sought-after port wine casks, then married with classic bourbon barrels creating an extraordinarily smoky and balanced Ardbeg dram that imparts all  manner of peculiar notes and aromas. This is  devilish sweet meets smoky peat!

Tasting Notes: Smoky pear crumble and cooling  menthol twist into notes of incense candles, perfumed  lavender and antique leather.

Cask Type: Matured in highly sought-after port wine  casks and classic ex-bourbon barrels

Single malt Scotch whisky from the Knockando distillery in the prolific Speyside region, aged for a dozen years before being bottled. Interestingly, they seem to have done away with including the vintage for this bottling...

Nose: Banana chips, honey'd barley and a few fleeting floral flourishes.

Palate: Cadbury Fingers, brown bread with butter, sultanas and honeydew melon.

Finish: A slow build-up of cinnamon and black pepper.

NOSE
Fresh hays of summer, malty cereal, rich creamy toffee and honeyed heather, balanced with sweet oak and barley sugar.

PALATE
Smooth creamy sweetness with sumptuous hints of fruit, malty honeyed spiciness and soft vanilla.

FINISH
Crisp and satisfying with a tingle of cloves which linger, then gently fade.

Glenmorangie gathers the silky, fruity spirit from their giraffe-high stills and let it steep in American oak casks. No less than 15 years later, a portion goes into Oloroso sherry casks for three more years.

Once 18 years have passed, the two spirits are reunited to create a warm balance of sweet, floral lushness. Rich marmalade flavours brush against honey and fig, touches of caramelized orange and far-off campfire smoke.

Originally released for the Travel Retail market, this 10 year old Bowmore single malt is a marriage of Spanish oak Sherry casks and hogsheads, resulting in a fine balance between classic coastal Islay smoke and Sherried sweetness.

Nose: Salted pretzels, fruitcake and a pinch of cinnamon.

Palate: Flamed orange peel, sea salt, Cadbury Bournville.

Finish: Spiced rum warmth, with layers of toasted malt.

A 1996 vintage Ledaig single malt Scotch whisky from Tobermory, which has been given a finishing period in Oloroso Sherry casks. Interestingly, this expression has been made using some of the first peated whisky produced at Tobermory when they started distilling peated malt in 1996!

Peat-dried malted barley is married with naturally peat infused water from the distillery's private water source, a dark aromatic lochan, high in the mountains above the village of Tobermory. Matured in superior Oloroso sherry casks the result is a wonderfully peated single malt with an intense smoky flavorsome character.

The soft gold color of this Ledaig 1996 glistens before you. The nose is rich with fragant smoke, toffee caramel, apple with a hint of mint and a few citrus notes. A wave of crackling peat sets off rich flavor explosions on the palate, black pepper then bursts followed by a light sherry sweetness. The finish is smooth with a spicy salty tail, which disappears into the dark as the peaty embers glow into a smoky finale.

700mL | 46.3% ABV

The Dalmore 15 year old was first launched in 2007. Matured in Matusalem, Apostoles and Amoroso Sherry casks, it proffers all those winter spice, orange zest and chocolate notes characteristic of Dalmore.

Nose: A chocolate orange. Potpourri, perfumed. Fruitcake, Sherry.

Palate: Medium, lovely delivery. Zesty orange, Cura?ao, chocolate. Winter spice, stem ginger in syrup. Hints of anise and a little hickory.

Finish: Malty barley and smoky espresso.

The oldest of three Royal Brackla single malts launched in 2015. Distillation at Royal Brackla is slow, with plenty of reflux and this whisky is matured in Oloroso Sherry casks. The result is a rich whisky with notes of dark chocolate, anise and sweet summer berries.

An indulgent smooth single malt matured in American white oak ex-bourbon casks and aged Tawny Port pipes. These casks were sourced from well-known port producer W&J Graham's

Nose: Clove-studded orange, raspberry and prune.

Palate: Chocolatey at first, before waves of dried fruit and stem ginger notes appear. A touch of earthy bitterness develops later on, balanced by runny honey.

Finish: Roast chestnuts, gingerbread and tobacco.

A play on Glen Scotia's classic Double Cask, this expression sees the distillery's unpeated spirit matured initially in American oak barrels, before spending a final 6 months in ex-Demerara rum casks. 

Bursting with tropical fruits and boiled sweet characters and complexed by maritime elements. 

One of the few remaining distilleries in Campbeltown on the Kintyre peninsula sandwiched between Arran and Islay. This used to be the distillery capital of Scotland with over 30 of them based here. Now there are just three. This beauty is aged in ex-bourbon and American oak barrels and offers rich vanilla and toffee that combines elegantly with salty sea spray notes, nuts and citrus. 

The Edradour 10 is bursting with aromas of fresh vanilla pod and a hint of sulphur, creme caramel, and the palate carries bitter almonds, pepperment chocolates and a dry vanilla'd finish. Unlike its bigger production neighbours, Edradour rely on word-of-mouth of whisky connoisseurs - and because of this they have become one of the most-visited distilleries in Scotland.Their whiskies are a great all-rounder - an ideal dram for a newcomer as well as the collecter that has 200 drams in their cabinet.

The nose is pleasant enough. Lots of sweetness in the guise of caramel, baked apples, stewed pears and some honey, joined by grasses and upholstered by a lovely mineral note. Some sweet beer note.

There is nothing more suitable than a blended whisky to represent Nikka's way of whisky making. The asymmetry design of the bottle is inspired by the neck of a Kimono just as if the layers visualize all the passion and craftsmanship devoted in the history of Nikka. The honorable golden emblem engraved was designed by Masataka Taketsuru for his very first Nikka whisky bottle.
