Sauvignon Blanc

Bright flavours, fresh and light in style - and lighter in alcohol too with 9% ABV. Sauvignon Blanc is well suited to lower alcohol wines because it's so intense in flavour and this lively wine expresses that with its tropical fruit aromas, fresh herb tastes and its fresh zesty acidity, which adds balance and length of taste.

A great wine to drink when you want less alcohol but still want to enjoy a drink or two. That little bit less alcohol makes a big difference... and here's a tasty example which is also dry in style with 5 grams residual sugar (that's natural sugar from the grapes, retained from stopping the fermentation early). 

Grown at the whopping altitude of 30 m above sea level, wholebunch pressed
and aged in 50% seasoned oak and 50% steel tank for 5 months. An explosion of citrus and pineapple.

A smooth, soft Sauvignon Blanc with body and complex savoury flavours, which sit comfortably alongside tropical fruit aromas and all without a high price. This delicious tasty new take on this country's most successful white wine is made from 100% organically certified grapes, a portion of which were hand picked and all fermented with wild yeasts in a combo of oak and egg shaped vessels.

Loveblock owners Erica and Kim Crawford own their Awatere Valley vineyard in Marlborough. The Sauvignon Blanc grapes come from the Woolshed Vineyard area in the Lower Dashwood area, an 11 hectare site planted in 2003. All grapes grown on this site are certified organic with BioGro New Zealand. 

Flinty, fleshy, full bodied and deliciously dry. Bull Paddock Sauvignon Blanc is one of Marlborough's top expressions of its most planted grape and an outstanding take on Sauvignon with complexity, depth and great length all providing superb drinking now - this wine works in place of a Chardonnay and will appeal to all white wine lovers thanks to its savoury flavour notes with just a mere hint of tropical fruit. This wine is great drinking now, excellent when paired with food and can also age well for up to four to five years.

Our beautifully structured Sauvignon captures its special character with every sip. Flavours reminiscent of limes and nettle flowers with hints of green melon all wrapped around a  delicious acidity and natural fruit ripeness.

Close your eyes and think of warm sunshine and snowy mountain peaks. This wine takes you there.

An aged release from of the Nautilus Pinot Noir which shows all the typical complex floral characters of violets and rose petals, sweet dark cherry, plums, earthy notes and a touch of toasty spice on the nose plus some sweeter aged touches. The palate is concentrated and elegant with a fine dense core of tannins that have softened over time.

The fruit for this wine comes from a small parcel in the Byrne vineyard, located in the Conder?s Bend area of Marlborough.

The vines are managed organically and are planted on gravels that would have once been a river bed. The stoney soils provide both drainage and heat retention which are essential for this cooler site.

The grapes were hand-picked, whole-cluster pressed and taken straight to French barriques without any chemical additions. It was fermented with indigenous yeast in the barrels, helping to add complexity and texture, without dominating the nose.

The wine was left on yeast lees for fifteen months, which were stirred regularly. This meant that the yeast added both savoury notes and also served to work as a natural fining agent. After time in barrique it was gently racked then bottled without fining.
