About Greystone
The Greystone wine story began in 2000 when the Thomas Family bought an old sheep farm on the Omihi hills in the Waipara Valley, North Canterbury. The rolling limestone hills lured this family in and their goal was a single minded one: to make great wines from the limestone rich soils here. Fast forward 20 years and Greystone is one of the great (and, some might say, yet to be fully discovered) wineries in this outstanding wine region. Not least due to the work of winemaker Dom Maxwell and general manager Nick Gill, who began working together in 2005 and has grown along with the brand and quality.

Unit price perBalanced and spicy wine with flavours of red berries, such as ripe strawberries and raspberries. The flavour has hints of ginger and nougat, which is complemented by a nuanced finish that also gives a hint of coffee beans. Delicate tones of chocolate lie and play in the background.

Unit price perBold, rich and dry with powerfully fruity aromas and depths of deliciousness. This wine is a super intensely purple hued red made from Alicante Bouchet, a red fleshed grape, which ripens to surprisingly low sugar levels and lends itself to having a modest level of alcohol with stacks of flavour intensity. Alicante is a cross of Petit Bouschet (itself a cross of Teinturier du Cher and Aramon) with Grenache. It makes wine that tastes of cherries and spice.
We love the interesting different take on light red vs rose that this wine offers. A must try in summer. Serve chilled.
Rockford Wines' legacy
Rockford Wines is an icon itself and a relatively new one, established in 1971 by Robert O'Callaghan, who has forged a reputation for preserving winemaking tradition and saving many of the world's oldest grape vines from being pulled up in the Australian Government's vine pull schemes of the 1970s and 1980s.
The Rockford vintage shed houses equipment from 50 to 100 years ago, which was discarded by other wineries as modernisation took over.

Unit price perTurkey Flat Rose is a dry, light bodied pink wine made from Grenache grown in the Barossa Valley (world headquarters of Shiraz) and tastes of fresh summer berries, layered with red fruit and spice notes on the finish.
This is the 26th vintage of Turkey Flat Rose, which was first produced when light bodied pink wines were the absolute antithesis of what most wine drinkers wanted to consume back when bigger most definitely always meant better. How the tables have turned and now wines such as Turkey Flat Rose are viewed as the refreshing, light bodied ?reds? that they are. The residual sugar in this wine is 4.2 grams per litre and the alcohol is relatively modest for a Barossan wine, at 12.55 ABV.
Meet a lively and lovely newcomer to our shelves and to your glass.
