Pale Ale’s distinct hoppy flavour comes from a judicious blend of four local hop varieties, and the two selected malts contribute to its appealing colour. Its clean, fresh eagerness is tempered by a subtle sweetness and rounded off with a satisfying, lasting finish. A youthful member of the larger, wide-ranging family of pale ales, this is one of our most-popular beers.

Our citrus pale ale is approachable, moreish, and hauntingly good on any occasion. In the foggy past, patrons of The Bell Inn, our 600-year-old pub in Walberswick, told tall tales of ghostly ships that haunted the shore. The seeds of these stories were likely sown by smugglers trying to scare people away, but they later became the inspiration for everyone?s favourite eerie brew.

Charm Quark is an unfiltered extra pale ale made with Idaho7 and Zythos hops. Softy biscuit malts and citrusy and floral hops round out this exceptional beer. It is refreshing and very drinkable!

Summerfruit, gooseberry, redberry hop goodness on a bed of ale, wheat and oats for a silky finish.

Golden Valley is our homage to Orval, the Belgian Trappist beer that has served as a huge inspiration for our brewing philosophy at Slow Lane. A bitter ale fermented with a Belgian Abbey yeast strain and dry hopped with Styrian Golding hops, then can-conditioned with Brettanomyces to give the beer its distinctive complexity. Similarly to Orval, this is a living beer and its flavours will continue to develop during extended cellaring.
