This unique brew combines the dryness, hop-forward balance, and flavorful characteristics of an American IPA with a darker hue, but without the strong roasted or burnt flavors typically associated with dark beers. Instead, the gentle and supportive notes of darker malts add depth to the beer without overpowering the hops.

Brewed sustainably with a blend of NZH 101 and Green Bullet hops, our Fresh Hop Midnight Harvest Black IPA offers a harmonious blend of hoppy freshness and a subtle malt background. The flavor profile is designed to be hop-forward, emphasizing the bright and refreshing qualities of the hops while maintaining a smooth and drinkable experience.

The Return of Kem, Fresh Hop WCIPA, Single 440ml

Kem has returned! Duncan’s is joined by Eggers Hops from Upper Moutere and West Coast Brewing from Shizuoka Japan; a fresh hop three-way collaboration between hop friends. 

This Fresh Hop West Coast IPA is a heavy hitter, brewed with fresh Riwaka and hopped up with the proprietary Eggers Special for a tropical citrus overload. 

Contains: water, malted barley (gluten), fresh riwaka hops, wheat (gluten), hop pellets, yeast.

BLANC DE HOUBLON - BELGIAN HAZY
This week we have a new batch of Blanc de Houblon coming out with a new look. We have labelled it 'Belgian Hazy'. A fruity blend of NZ hops meets a three strain Belgian yeast blend. The result is delicious.

Two Bites, oak barrel aged beer, fermented with our own house culture and then ‘double dipped’ with second use raspberries and organic heritage plums for a deep, soft fruit flavour. Go on, have another bite.

McLeod's Scottish Wee Heavy or Strong Scotch Ale incorporates their house English ale yeast and rich, caramel-laden malts. A touch of rye rounds out the native Horopito which lends soft, evergreen notes to the finish. A unique Scotch Ale, it’s the perfect tribute to Waipu’s immigrant Scottish traders who landed at the turn of the last century with fresh hope in a new land of possibilities.

A Fresh Hop Pilsner brewed for the 2025 season, Pacifica Pils showcases the best of Pacifica™ hops from New Hoplands and Motueka hops from Mac Hops.

Pacifica™ brings a spicy, dried fruit character, while Motueka adds bright citrus and tropical notes, creating a crisp, refreshing balance.

Inspired by dry rosé this is a beer that tastes like wine!
A very light malt base keeps malt flavours and colour to a minumum. Kettle souring overnight gives a wine-like tart acidity and a dry hop of German Hallertau Blanc hops gives grape flavours. Strawberry puree was added to give fruity complexity (and colour!) and a long cooler ferment and lagering process gives a clean crisp finish reminiscent of the dry minerally finish found in dry rosé wine.
