New Zealand Craft Beer

A hazy New Zealand styled pale ale with all New Zealand hops.  Super drinkable and citrus all round.

Top 30 in the 2021 New World Beer Awards.

5.5% ABV.

A dessert style sour, brewed with lactose sugar and vanilla that sweetens the raspberry tartness.

5% ABV.

A dark amber beer which is rich, toasty, nutty, and smooth with notes of dried fruits, and aged for more than 12 months in whisky casks that held very special NZ single malt whisky for more than 20 years.

11.1% ABV.

Duncan's - This beer is the Mango Lassi of east coast IPA's.  Brewed with mango, vanilla, lactose and a tonne of tropical fruity hops.

6.3% ABV.

A velvety milk stout, brewed with oats, organic cocoa powder and cocoa nibs. This decadent combination is apparent on both aroma and taste, with earthy cocoa and dark berryfruit leading into a creamy, sweet finish balanced with a touch of bitterness. 

An apt companion for the Winter season, we think that this beer will also make a perfect dessert with the addition of a scoop of vanilla ice cream. 

For this years release of our Chocolate Stout we've used cacao nibs and cocoa husks from Lucid Chocolatier for a smooth chocolate hit, and oats for velvety texture

5.6% ABV

ISTHMUS Brewing - 3D IPA showcases the three dimensions of classic West Coast IPA: hops, hops and more hops! it features hefty additions of American hops on a NZ malt base.  The resinous, citrus and tropical fruit qualities of the hops shine through.  This is the perfect beer for hop-heads.

North End - Just because something is small doesn't mean it won't pack a punch.  The little, delicate, dried flowers of the hibiscus plant are a case in point as they lend a pungent, fruity character, and deep pink colour when added to beer.  The same can be said of Petit Luna.  Hibiscus, Kaffir lime, spicy Belgian yeast and lactic tartness all brew up to a big refreshing blast of flavour fired by a light, low alcoholic beer.

2.5% ABV.

Biscuity pilsner malt and distinctive Motueka and Riwaka hops bringing aromas of lemon and lime. Nelson Sauvin for a tart gooseberry hit. Straw coloured appearance, brilliantly clear, with a long lasting white head. Crisp and bitter. Medium dry finish.

4.8% ABV. 

Zesty crisp and refreshing with grapefruit and citrus aromas

5.0% ABV.

A New Zealand interpretation of an Old English classic.  Our Milk Stout contains a non-fermentable lactose sugar derived from milk.  Deep black and full bodied with mocha and milk chocolate aromatics, it is smooth with a slightly sweet, balanced finish.

5.2% ABV.

Hoptron is a super fruity American Pale Ale, AKA an APA.  

With a light body and a medium bitterness, this beer tastes of citrus and stone fruit. Hoptron is a beer that will leave you refreshed yet wanting more!

Brewing in the old Dunlop Tyre Factory in Upper Hutt, Panhead produce a range of highly drinkable, hop forward, aromatic beers. Port Road Pilsner takes the New Zealand Pilsner style pioneered by Emerson's and Panhead Brewer Mike Nelsons former employer Tuatara and drives it into ever more zesty NZ hop laced territory. Try it with shellfish.

5.2% ABV.

Panhead - Hops are where it starts for the born-again craft head and Supercharger APA is where Panhead delivers. This is an all-American show with Centennial, Citra and Simcoe overwhelming your nose, kicking you in the taste buds and departing with more bitterness than a Palm Springs divorce. It's a seriously addictive combination.

5.2% ABV.

A silky and full stout from one of the fastest growing local craft beer breweries Panhead. They've specially imported caramelized oats to give this stout body and texture, it's big but balanced as is generally the case with anything from Panhead.

5.5% ABV.

Panhead - XPA means Extra Pale, a product of Quickchange's lighter malt base. That delicate colour though is undercut by a glorious hit of alpha oils from Mosaic, Galaxy and Citra hops. Sometimes you don't want your mouth flayed raw and your liver worked to a standstill. Sometimes a few luscious notes of mango, guava, lychee and pineapple can be just the thing.

4.6% ABV.
