Doppelbocks are a strong, rich and malty lager originally brewed by Bavarian monks in the 17th century. Designed to sustain the monks while they abstain from solid foods during the 40 day Lent period, doppelbocks earned the nickname ?Liquid Bread?. Disclaimer: We do not condone 40 day beer-only diets.

The gnomes love Achouffe beers and the juicy cherries which grow in their magical land. Every year they gather and store them in the attics at the brewery. One day, after an abundant season, the floor gave way under the weight of the harvest, and some cherries fell into the Mc CHOUFFE brewing below. Impish as ever, the gnomes kept quiet about the incident. Surprised to discover a glowing, ruby-tinted beer with a fruity taste, the master brewer decided to bottle it up. Enjoy Cherry CHOUFFE carefully to avoid staining your beard and always drink it in delightful company.

Our most highly hopped beer to date at over 35g/L, Liquid Phantasm is an ultra-modern DIPA using a new liquidised version of Phantasm™, along with a selected batch of the OG powder, supercharged “Super-Sauvin” hops, and the freshest 2024 Motueka crop flown direct from the Freestyle hop farm in Sunrise Valley, and lashings of NZ Superdelic hop. In combination with a thiol-active yeast strain, an extended conditioning time, and a dose of Motueka and Nelson SubZero Hop Kief™, expect an extremely potent thiol bomb with a hyper-charged hop character. Straight Up is a contemporary India Pale Ale crafted on a foundation of premium New Zealand malted barley, oats, and rolled spelt. Generously hopped with kiwi-only cones?Southern X, Motueka, and the coveted Peacharine? from the Freestyle hop farm in Nelson, NZ?this IPA promises a juicy and tropical fruit-forward profile with a pronounced hop character and a soft finish. Just a Straight Up, hop-forward sud tube ya?ll.

Beervana 2024 Release

Check in the Dark is a near-black coloured rich complex and malty lager in the style of tmav? pivo, or ?dark beer?. This style of beer is a common sight in taverns throughout the Czech Republic. It balances a full body and mouthfeel with high drinkability. Check in the Dark was made from a variety of different pale and dark malts with a slight roastiness from the pale chocolate malt used.

5% ABV

Maibocks are a strong malty German lager traditionally brewed for the transition from cooler to warmer weather. We think it's equally suited to the transition from warmer to cooler weather here in the Southern hemisphere. While having substantial strength and body, in line with the bock style, it is a light amber colour compared to the darker Winter bocks.

Golden Valley is our homage to Orval, the Belgian Trappist beer that has served as a huge inspiration for our brewing philosophy at Slow Lane. A bitter ale fermented with a Belgian Abbey yeast strain and dry hopped with Styrian Golding hops, then can-conditioned with Brettanomyces to give the beer its distinctive complexity. Similarly to Orval, this is a living beer and its flavours will continue to develop during extended cellaring.

German Pils are the German adaptation of the original Pilsners from Pilsen in the Czech Republic. Brewed using pilsner malt and noble hops, both sourced from Germany, Jagged Little Pils spent five weeks lagering in our horizontal tanks. This is a pale, dry and bitter beer with an extra crisp finish.

Melody is a Vienna Lager, reddish-copper in colour, smooth and malty, with some toffee and bready flavours. It?s brewed with a restrained hop usage giving just enough bitterness to provide a balanced finish. First introduced in Vienna in the 1840s, it is now a style that is rare in Austria, but has been embraced by several large Mexican breweries as well as craft breweries around the world.

Flemish Red Ales are often referred to as the Burgundy of Belgium due to their deep reddish-brown hue and wine-like characteristics. Outback Sky is our interpretation of a Flemish Red Ale. Composed of a blend of 9 month old and 24 month old barrels. Complex flavours of rich malts, sourness, dark fruits and oak.

Tripels are a strong pale beer that have been brewed in Belgium since the 1930?s. The name originates from when breweries marked their beers with X?s according to their strength.Those marked with three X?s being referred to as a Tripel. Threefold has complex flavours from fermentation with a Belgian style yeast strain. This beer is highly carbonated through a re-fermentation in the package just like the original Tripels from Belgium.

8.4% ABV

Old Ale is a strong, dark and malty British beer style that, as the name suggests, is aged for long periods of time. Like historic versions, Not Too Heys was aged in oak barrels with Brettanomyces. Mahogany in colour with nutty, plum, caramel, wood and leather notes. Nicely balanced between the moderate sweetness, substantial bitterness and light acidity.

9.5% ABV

Coopers XPA is all about ‘extra’ hop flavour whilst being well balanced and easy to drink. With Simcoe and Lemondrop American hops added at different stages of the brewing process we have achieved an optimal bitterness level with bright citrus undertones. Like all of our Ales, XPA is naturally conditioned and free from any additives or preservatives.
