Unit price perArdbeg An Oa is singularly rounded, due in no small part to time spent in our newly established bespoke oak Gathering Vat where whiskies from several cask types - including; sweet Pedro Ximenez; spicy virgin charred oak; and intense ex-bourbon casks, amongst others - familiarise themselves with each other. The result is a dram with smoky power, mellowed by a delectable, smooth sweetness. Hallmark Ardbeg peat, dark chocolate and aniseed are wrapped in smooth, silky butterscotch, black pepper and clove, before rising to an intense crescendo of flavour.
Non chill-filtered with a strength of 46.6% ABV.
Source - Ardbeg

Unit price perThe Monsters of Smoke trio pack includes 3x20cl bottles of whisky from
Ardbeg?s Core Range. They are: Ardbeg Ten Years Old, the original giant
which has stalked the whisky world for decades; Ardbeg Wee Beastie, a
feisty young creature with a formidable bite; and Ardbeg An Oa, a complex
whisky that sits in a web of flavour notes.
Moch is Gaelic for dawn, and this release from Caol Ila is an altogether lighter prospect than the distillery's excellent 12 year old standard expression.
Nose: Lemon sherbet and apple crumble topping with custard. Dry grass and not a hint of smoke.
Palate: Sweet lemon meringue pie and soft, very soft mouthfeel. The peat hits a third of the way in but it's restrained; soothing wood smoke rather than burning tyres, and it retains a sweetness throughout.
Finish: Soft drying smoke.

Unit price perThe Lasanta was extramatured in Spanish oloroso sherry casks following a minimum of ten years in ex-bourbon casks. In Gaelic, Lasanta means warmth and passion, and this refers to the key notes of toffee, raisins and walnuts. Upon further nosing and tasting, rich undertones of sultanas, oranges and chocolate emerge, with the dessert sherry wood showing its worth.
Nose - Like the most delicious dessert menu imaginable, Lasanta taunts the senses with chocolate covered raisins, honeycomb and smooth caramel toffee. Citrus notes clear the way for the crispy burnt sugar and melting softness of creme brulee to be replaced by the rich aroma of rum and raisin ice cream
Palate - The full, sweet flavour typical of Spanish sherry with sultanas, orange segments, walnuts and butter toffee. The bite of hazelnut tasted through a chocolate coating, spice notes and hints of leather add the overwhelming sense of richness
Finish - Satisfyingly long with spiced orange and chocolate enrobed hazelnuts

This whisky is all about big wood and big peat thanks to triple maturation in ex-Bourbon barrels, quarter casks and finally European oak Pedro Ximenez sherry casks. There's vanilla from the bourbon casks and big robust dark fruit flavours from the PX which all balance the distillery's big, phenolic peat style nicely.
Matured in a combination of Bourbon barrels and Sherry casks and bottled at natural strength.
"The Cask Strength Edition is our most vivacious expression, yet still retains Tomatin?s characteristically rich and sweet undertones. Matured in a classic combination of first fill ex-Bourbon and ex-Oloroso Sherry casks, aromas of golden syrup and ginger biscuits prevail while flavours of malt loaf and marzipan lead to a dry, lingering spicy finish."
Long fermentation times and slow distillation are the word at Aberfeldy and the resultant malt has a honeyed and almost waxy quality. This beauty has been finished in Madeira casks adding fresh citrus and delicate tones of baked fruits, rich spices and cinnamon.
Completely unpeated (unusual in the highlands), this Glengoyne is soft, fruity and very quaffable. A fine single malt!
Nose: Toffee apples, a little acacia honey, nectarine in syrup and spice, supported by toasted barley in the background.
Palate: Over-ripe grapes, honeyed with hints of vanilla, coconut milk and oak spice. Light touches of chocolate ice-cream.
Finish: Long, oily finish with lingering coffee notes.
