The Monterey masters of West Coast IPA, Alvarado St, bare all, with a very special, intensely aromatic, Nelson Sauvin saturated take on their legendary, multi award winning flagship IPA.

It's gotta be big! A dozen years of Garage Project demands a big beer. 12th Anniversary Belgian Style Quad - Brewed using a massive complex grist of barley, rye, dark candi sugar and a special Belgian yeast. This is a huge beer, boasting an enormous rich dried fig, fruit cake and toffee pop malt palate, overlaid with complex spicy top notes and warming alcohol. Go big or go home.

6.8% - Amarillo-hopped APA

There are no peaches in this beer. None. So why Angry Peaches? Inspired by a throw-away descriptor by beer blogger Phil Cook, Angry Peaches aims to create an aggressive stone fruit character with absurd amounts of the hard to find American hop Amarillo. Because we love you, we got all the Amarillo we could get our hands on and put it all in this beer. Just for you. Angry is the new nice.

6.5% - Double dank West Coast IPA

Come frolic on a perfect verdant lawn of hops. Astroturf - West Coast style IPA. Immaculate rolling green fields of Chinook, Simcoe, Nelson Sauvin, Columbus and Amarillo bring bright clean bitterness and ripe tropical background notes overlaid with lively citrus, spruce and wafts of dank resin. Forget your lawnmower beer, the future is Astroturf.

Back Block Wild Sour 6.7%

Wildflower ale, spontaneous fermented using only the wild yeast from freshly foraged m?nuka flowers, aged in oak barrels and then blended with a batch of fresh beer ?hopped? with m?nuka tips. The result is a deliciously drinkable dark ale, with a delicately tart citrus, floral, honey flavour and a light, spicy m?nuka twist. Go wild. Brewed for the Hokitika Wild Foods festival.

Infused with a massive shot of concentrated Newground espresso and burnt Seville orange peel, then blended with four year old bourbon barrel aged beer. A rich, complex, bittersweet blend of bourbon vanilla oak, roasted malts, caramelised citrus peel and coffee. All hail the beast.

BEER marks a profound and deliberate departure from the plan with its straightforward generically branded can and straight up Czech Pilsner inside. Herbal,crisp and refreshing, BEER was made for summer.

Beyond the Pale, a Garage tradition celebrating New Zealand?s own fantastic Fringe Festival with a very special avant garde offering. This year it?s a Lolly Scramble. A riotous assortment of sweets, including acid drops, raspberry drops, gummies and marshmallows, thrown into the boil deliver an outrageously vibrant, frivolously fun sweet and sour candy creation with a sensational raspberry, lemon and vanilla twist. Get ?out there?.

6.5% - Yuzu & Sea Salt Hazy IPA

Big flavour, Big Feelings. Luscious white gold hazy IPA, brewed with pale malts, wheat and oats, a generous addition of Yuzu and a touch of New Zealand sea salt creating a beer with a huge citrus aroma and an outrageously juicy, quenching mouthfeel. Giving you those Big Feelings.

Black BEER - BEER, but darker. 4.8%

Exactly as it sounds. Water, malt, hops, yeast. Still simple, just dark. Brewed with a comforting bounty of Gladfield Pilsner, Munich and Chit malts. Sometimes simple is exactly what you want.

Originally brewed for Ben Shrewry?s Attica restaurant - the perfect accompaniment to their backyard BBQ.

Lager - 4.5% ABV

All your bases are belong to us. It?s up to you player 1 

Hours of gameplay got you here, a grind of low level IPA?s. Now you?ve reached the Boss Level. This is no battle for a raw recruit. This is Ultra IPA - five different US hop varieties, 100 IBU?s and a massive malt grist to match - a can load of weaponised hop firepower. Warning - proceed with the utmost caution. 

Lower your guard and it?ll be game over man, game over.

Double IPA - 8.5% ABV

3.5% - Black Country Dark Mild

Mild, not mild. British Steel, Black Country Dark Mild. Malted Autumn barley, crystal, chocolate and roasted malts, fermented with a characterful English yeast strain, create a supremely drinkable ale with toasted hazelnut and toffee pop biscuit notes artfully balanced with English Admiral and East Kent Golding hops. Nowt soft comes out of the Black Country.

6.4% - Double Dry Hopped West Coast Rye IPA

Watch your step. Buzz Tail - Double Dry Hopped West Coast Rye IPA. Hopped with a ?C? heavy hit of Columbus, Centennial, Citra and Cashmere, crisp, mouthwatering bitterness is balanced perfectly with bright juicy malt, elevated with a touch of spicy rye malt and overlaid with pink grapefruit, tangerine citrus and earthy kush resin aromatics. IPA with a twist in its tail.
