William Fevre is one of Chablis' great wine domaines. On this wine, the palate has excellent grip and is classically bone dry with an unctuous, oily texture. The nose is layered with wet stone and chalk minerality, nuts, pale stone fruit and ripe citrus. Notes of ripe green fruit, bright citrus acidity and a lengthy finish make for an elegant, high end Chablis.
Domaine William Fevre has led the Chablis revival over the past decade with its refined, full bodied, dry white wines, all 100% Chardonnay, of course, as this appellation is devoted entirely and solely to this great white grape variety.

Unit price perDomaine Charles Audoin, based in Marsannay-la-Cote in Burgundy, has been a family-run estate since its establishment in the early 20th century. Under the leadership of Charles Audoin and later his son Cyril, the domaine has expanded to approximately 14 hectares across the Marsannay appellation. They are pioneers in promoting the quality of Marsannay, which is known for producing excellent red, white, and ros? wines.
The terroir of Marsannay, located at the northern end of the C?te de Nuits, is diverse, comprising predominantly limestone and clay soils. The vineyards used for ?Cuv?e Charlie? are from some of the domaine's prime sites, with vines aged around 40 to 60 years. This maturity of the vines brings depth and concentration to the wine. WINEMAKING
The wine is for the most part left alone, as the philosophy is one of “infusion rather than construction.” The wine is vinified 100% whole cluster to extract a deeper color and enhance the structure and aromatic complexity. The major condition is that the grapes must be perfect in terms of ripeness and condition. Chanson also strives to maximize the preservation of fresh fruit characteristics, which is why grapes are chilled immediately on arrival in a proprietary tunnel that provides a very quick chill with no oxygen exposure. Then, Champagne-style fractional pressing is practiced to gently extract the purest juice. Aged 17 to 19 months in barrels (30% new oak).
VINTAGE
After a winter characterized by marked variations in temperature and a summer like weather spring, A sudden and intense frost fell upon Burgundy early April and severely hit the buds that had formed on the vine. The months that followed were a succession of rainy and warm episodes. During summer there were warm and humid periods and the harvest started at Chanson on September 15, under a bright sunshine. The red wines have a good color. They give off floral fragrances and a beautiful fruit expression but the volumes produced are quite low.
TASTING NOTES
Bright ruby color. Beautiful aromas of red berries (strawberry, cherry, red-currant) mixed with pepper. Complex and well-balanced with an outstanding energy tight and deep texture. Well-integrated tannins and well-crafted oak note. Long and elegant finish with spicy notes.
