NZ’s most promising or most challenging new wine region?
Waitaki Valley is small, remote and home to lots of limestone – great for Pinot Noir.
Join us on Thursday 17 August from 6pm to 8pm for two hours of what promises to be the country’s first indepth look at the wines of Waitaki Valley – both old and new vintages of wines from the valley’s leading producers and newcomers. The tasting will be hosted by writer Joelle Thomson, who is fresh back from an aerial flight and vineyard visits over the patchwork of vines in this beautiful corner of North Otago.
The wines we will taste include…
2015 Ostler Audrey’s Pinot Gris
2015 Ostler Caroline’s Pinot Noir
2016 Pasquale Riesling
2012 Pasquale Chardonnay
2011 Pasquale Pinot Noir
Valli Waitaki Pinot Noir
Valli Waitaki Off-dry Riesling
Valli Waitaki Late Harvest Riesling
John Forrest Collection Waitaki Pinot Noirs
