Hallertau Porter Noir 6.6% 750Ml

An absolutely world class barrel aged specialty porter from Riverhead just north west of Auckland. Porter Noir starts life as a strong dark porter with hints of roast malt and chocolate before being run into brettanomyces laced barrels that were used for pinot noir. The wood, remnants of wine and wild yeasts in the barrels all impart fantastic fruity, wild, barnyardy flavours to the aging beer. The result is an enormously complex ale. Layers of chocolate, cherries, lime, oak, vanilla, rich malt, musty cellar character, dark dried fruit, and gaminess integrate to create a phenomenal beer experience. A drop dead match for steamed mussels, or washed rind cheese.
